    I about croaked when I was headed to the lake and saw gas prices had jumped, again, this time from 345 to 365 and 369.. just last week it was 321. I hate gas prices. Makes a fella fish less and work more. Anyways, put in at 12 and dad came over at 130, good thing too because I almost had my limit then! We had the best day we have had in a while. We caught a bunch of real nice fish and it was nice for once to actually get the overs and have trouble getting the unders like in the fall. We ended with our 20 overs and 8 unders. Water was 41-42 where we were fishing and the fish were loaded up. We fished 2-5 foot. Had 3 over 12" and all the rest of the overs were 10.5-11.5"... fun afternoon. Guess ill rest up now with the crappy weather coming in and gas prices going up up and away. Might head over to arthur saturday to the show.

    Good job birdman. Looks like a good group of fish. Cool thing that you are getting to fish with dad so much. Nothing better.
    If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.:rolleyes:

    Good mess Bird. Gas prices have been around 3.65 for awhile down here. $3.21 Sounds a little better, not much.

    Thanks guys!

    xxl- pooch stayed home today since it was supposed to rain, didnt want momma mad at me!

    dkb- love fishing with him, wouldnt trade it fer nothin! been fishing with him since I was 4!

    josh- you would be surprised how shallow the crappie will go with a few warm days and some sunshine in a row when the waters still really cold like it is. Find your warmest water in the area (usually the dingiest) and you have a good shot of bein in business.

    Dont' underestimate Birdys dad, The Orignal Birdman.. He can catch em when nobody else can. Tyler you have got to give credit where credit is due. The old man has still got a few tricks up his sleve. Good job Guys
