We caught a 17 3/4 inch crappie las January on Lake Kissimmee, not believable he was so hugh. So thick it would not fit in the crappie measuring device.

    We ate it.

I've fished S-ville for 20+ years and never have seen one bigger than 16 inches. My old fishing buddy, Rick, caught two bigguns on two occasions the day before he and I were to fish a tourney together. They were both right at 16. Last fall I caught a 15 1/4 oz. black crappie that went a little over 2 lbs

Between my younger brother and I, we have caught 5 or so 15" crappie at Shelbyville since we started fishing with our grandfather. We are 28/27 now and started fishing when we were prob 7,8, or 9, to give a timeframe. It is possible, however, if you want the 16 or higher, prob have to go to a farm pond.

Funny thing was, one of those was at Bo wood's, and my brother cast his line along the bank, right in front of me (no more than a foot off the bank) and caught a 15" crappie. That lil #$@$, he always has to give me a hard time about that one...

ROHR- Bo woods year in and year out tends to produce the biggest crappies on the lake. As a matter of fact, the picture that xxl just posted was from the Bo woods area as well. Pretty neat

15" and 14" caught out of campfield cove 2 fall's ago..Biggest we have gotten. With the size of the lake, I would like to hear a good explanation of why the fish in that lake dont get very big or you dont see more "kicker" fish..

Them are some slabs you have there Luke! Not many lakes north of the Ohio have any numbers of fish that size. Although you can get a couple here and there.

Them right there I would take any day on the lake.....
