Nice fish and yes that place can spoil a man. I popped my cherry down there this spring and now catching fish back here at Shelbyville just ain't the same. I went down with a bunch of friends and camped for a few days. My friend Jeff Revelle gave us some pointers and directions. His family has been going down for awhile and thier advice was spot on. I was there the weekend Capps and Coleman put up a 3 pound average stringer. I will be back every year from here on out. Were you pulling cranks or vertical spider rigging?

Yes guys that lake is ridiculous! For those that havent went yet and are going sometime you will be spoiled! Went to shelbyville today and the first fish I caught I held up and asked my dad how big it was..he says about 10.5 I go BS. Measured it and sure enough it was! I didnt have the money to mount the fish, and believe me I sure wanted too The good thing is im sure I will be back...

We were verticle jiggin with the spider rigs. Its about the only way to catch em right now, the core is droppin the lake fast and in about a month there isnt going to be any ramps with enough water on them to get to the main lake.

Slayer- a 4 pounder is a true giant.. I couldnt imagine. What was it about 18-19 inches?

All i can say is..... it was another great trip down to Slab Country! Going to try and get one more trip in before the end of the year! Had a blast! Birdys eyes when the first slab came out was almost priceless, as will as Halbys first 15 3/4 inch slab monster......
