Thanks For the help. I may pony up my fifty bucks and launch there this year. I know I should get a free boat sticker this year for removing one them light pole late last year! LOL

Some folks are full of it. No one has been fishing, the water color is terrible. The parking lot is emty most of the time and those that do fish are dissappointed. Being a multi-species fisherman, I make the best out of a poor situation. Nuff said.

I do not agree. I was there Sunday and caught some of the biggest crappie I ever caught out of lake Mattoon. Water is still a little murky but not to bad. I was catching them On mid south tube 111. The big crappie are up and bitting well as of last Sunday they was. The Small males i caught was very shallow. The big slabs I caught was on some docks.

Red---ummmmm maybe you should try fishing different 'honey holes' instead of the same ones you have probably fished for awhile. fish move. You have to move with them and adapt. I can promise you that there has been plenty of dandies caught/and or taken out of mattoon in the last 10 days. My dad has been doing the catching. But as crappie24 said we plan on hittin it in the next couple days and ill make sure to take some pictures, maybe even one in your cove!!
