    Default Private Campgrounds near Shelbyville

Anyone know of any private campgrounds near Shelbyville? I’m looking for a place to leave my 35’ travel trailer year round. I’ve been to Robin Hood and Sullivan Marina. I did not care for Robin Hood whatsoever, and not overly impressed with Sullivan. Sullivan was too “resortish” for me. I want some place with water, electric and sewers (if at all possible), but not much more than that. I want some place that is safe and quiet. I'd even like to be able to leave my boat and not worry.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Not sure of the name but there is a campground south of the spillway on the river. I have a friend that has a spot there and it is very laid back and you can do renovations and such to your lot. Stop at that gas station across from the spillway I am sure they can give you the name.

Thanks for the information guys. I called Arrowhead and Coon Creek. My suggestion to the lady at Arrowhead is to retire and enjoy life. She was one of the most unpleasant individuals that I have ever spoken with in my life, and I am not exaggerating. I actually felt sorry for her. I hope she was just having a bad day. It’s not healthy to be that unpleasant and not good for business. Although, she did say she was full. Good for her! I spoke with someone at Coon Creek and will be going down and check it out.
If anyone else has any other campgrounds, I would greatly appreciate the info.

    Thanks,
    Jeff
