"It's not the size of the jig,It's how you use it!!"
You can catch Flatheads on Live Bait?? I'm going to mention this to my buddy's. I will tell them not to tell their buddy's. So the word does not get out and they get over harvested. No need to worry anyway. Most of my buddy's don't have the Serious skill it takes to locate and catch Flatheads. Accident's just don't happen that often. Anyway I did enjoy the Pic's Red.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
I am not trying to hijack LSG's thread. I have caught my share of flatheads. Both Shelbyville and Rend are full of them. They are the top predator in both lakes. If someone thinks they are easy to catch and can be caught consistantly with jigs, go for it.
There may be a big flattie under most schools of crappie, especially in a river environment. And, there may be a big flattie under the white bass schools on Lake Shelbyville. Nuff said by me about flatheads on a crappie board.
If anyone is interested in big flatties or other catfish, I reccomend Blue Catfish - Channel Catfish - Flathead Catfish It used to be a better site than it is now but there is still information to be gathered on the site.
