I was told by another Vet, that all we had to do was mail a copy of our DD 214 along with an application for the State of Florida and appropriate fees. they in turn will issue a CCP for Florida which is reciprocal with most States that have CCP......Any truth to that?

YES ! I have the Utah CCw and the FLA. If you are an ex -military you can have the Florida in two weeks. The Utah takes a little longer.{you have to take a class}The Florida is all you need. EVERYONE should have one.
