Default Lake Shelbyville Last Few Days

Even though the fish have backed off into the eight to ten foot range they are still hungry. The surface temps have fallen back to 60-63. They were running about 67. I still have a few spots that the fish are shallow but for the most part we are back vertical jigging in ten to fifteen feet of water.

The rain has given the lake some needed color but the wind probably has done more to give it color. I have switched from my light colored jigs to more brighter chartreuse colors. Today I used lime green and chartreuse glow and my clients used dark red and chartreuse glow. Both seamed to work just fine.

Still getting some real nice fish. Today had a fish right at fourteen and some thirteen-inch fish as well. Went side scanning most of the afternoon and fished new brush. Really helped fishing water I haven't been hitting.

The spawn is well under way and I had females dripping eggs out of them today. The males are coal black and these next couple of weeks it should really be good.

Still getting the boats limit most every day. I am 29 out of 32 for limits and some of them have been four-man limits too. Like one of the pictures I attached from this week.

I work with the two goons in the bottom two pictures. They said that you guys had an amazing day on Friday and has trouble finding your "under" fish. Good job!

You are right it is Bo-Woods in picture. Been putting in there due to the bathroom problem at Wilborn. Porta Potties will not suffice for the women. At least Bo has a campground you can run over to. They have the bathrooms locked up for the season at Bo boat ramp as well. Don't know what is up with Corp this year probably no money.

Also using Bo because the new cleaning station at Wilborn has but one outlet that works. I must use electric knife.

I am on some real pigs. I think it will take close to nine pounds to win the tourney this weekend. So good luck to all in tourney. I have had two stringer this week over nine pounds and rest in low eights so Shelbyville is in good shape.

You are right about the porta potties, my 3 year old daughter will have nothing to do with those. All I know is that the Corps better open those up at Bo Woods or I am going to have a serious problem, won't be able to take my good luck charm.....
