It is tough to pick a boat to do it all,I personally own and run a 2007 Ranger Fisherman 620 vs,it can do just about anything but it is tall and catches wind and is hard to manuever in tight places, but is great when the water gets rough! It is a great walleye boat for verticle jigging and trolling, this is my 6th boat. There are boats like this for sale on Walleye Central along with other makes and models and sizes, there are many good brands for sale.I would say a 18' lund Pro v would be a good choice if you want a aluminum boat,as for fiberglass a older Ranger 692 or a Ranger 618 vs would be a good choice and not break the bank.As for bass boats they are nice for getting in and around the verticle timber and stumps, but the ride is a bit rough on windy days, that is why I traded in my 2003 Ranger 520 bass boat for what I have now, good luck as there are many great deals out there with low hours ,and having something with a warranty sure gives a person piece of mind! Hard to beat the new Mercury optimax engines and the evinrude e-tec ,good gas mileage!
