    Hi Musky Mike,

I'm headed to horseshoe tomorrow..Anyone having luck fishing from the bank from crappie?..My boat is damaged and probably will have to take the boat value money from the insurance..So, will be doing a lot of bank fishing until I get everything settled with my boat insurance...Any tips you can give me?...As far as fishing from bank for crappie at shoe..

Way to get after em again musky_mike... Havnt ever fished the shore jcd just started fishing the lake last year, but I can tell you there probably will be others on the shore and pretty close together.. So look for a group of people and see what they are doin... Last few times out there were only a couple of people fishing the 111 side down by the handicap pier where they dump brush.. Most of the guys were on the Bend road side..

Good job of catching em. Your son must be true fisherman to stay all day. I know when my son was 6 he would make it about 2 hours and be ready to call it a day.......... unless the fish were biting. Did your boy catch any of the fish? Thanks for sharing the pictures

yep my son was a trooper...I found the key is bring the gameboy....Lots of snacks... And yep he got 2 dinks out....And after every fish we catch he puts them in the livewell or throws them back in the water.. I love to see him handle the fish....got to keep em involed.....as far as a good place to go i usally hit around duck blinds 5fow.... however yesterday i had 45 for the water temp so they prolly should be starting to move around a bit...

The water temp at carlye yesterday at the warmest i had 38.9 and the coolest was crunching thru the ice snf 34.7....

I tried a little bank fishing today at Horseshoe...I didn't have any luck...I was using a small tube jig with a small bobber...I have a cold and didn't want to stay to long..I did see Crappie Killer Jigs unloading his boat today..I called my insurance agent today about my boat...Hopefully, I will hear something soon..
