Tip downs work best for panfish if I am correct. They look interesting going to have to make one on my spare time.

Describe my ice gear , there's to much to describe :D .Well to start with I have 2 ice tents,1 is a 1 man solo UL Ranger quick flip and the other is a Eskimo Quick Flip 2 2 man that will set 3 easy.I have a Vista Cam camera and a Vexilar FL-8 and FL-18.My augers consist of a 6" Lazer hand auger and a 6" Lazer electric power auger and going to get a gas one too.I will not go into listing the poles and ice jigs.I would have to say the # of jigs would be about 1000 or so.On a normal year we have about 2 months of ice up here which isn't long enough.I'm usually on the ice 5 days a week when it comes. Here is a link to a ice jig site that sells good quality jigs at a great price and super fast shipping too and you can't go wrong with the grab bag they offer. http://www.jamminjigs.com/
:D Give a man a crappie you feed him for a day...teach a man to fish for crappie and get rid of him for the weekend!!!

Roberta, my pop up deer blind u can get a t Wal-Mart for 45 dallors, its cheap and i am fishing on a dock that has pull up concrete slabs, that u put back when u are done fishing. ice don't get thick enough to go out on here. it has no floor but it keeps the wind off me and with 2 small coleman heaters it keeps me tosty, like is posted if we get no ice its still real nice in 30 degree weather or below to fish out of

I have a fish trap pro, ice armor suit, ice armor gloves (water proof and wind proof, gotta try them), vexilar fl-8, aqua-vu sv-100 with the attached DVR (got some good footage with it). I use genz lures, jammin jigs and custom jigs and spins (I really like to glow demon) and something not mentioned here fiskas lures, gotta try these if you haven't yet. http://www.yourbobbersdown.com/ Got a Mr buddy heater, all kinds of rods and reels, tip ups including the arctic warrior.

Default I like some of these ideas.

I'm really interested in the tip-downs. I'll have to check in with ODNR on regs. I'll bet they count them like a tip-up. The lake we ice fish is pretty much bluegill and trout, so if they're good for panfish, they ought to work. The crappie/saugeye lake we fish in open water rarely freezes.

We would need a two-man clam, and are leaning toward the pop-up deer blind that we can set up and tear down easily. Again, not spending $300 on something that may sit in the attic for two years. We just don't get good ice every year here. Wish we did. - Roberta

Yeah it's like Bass fishing...start with a Zara spook...twenty years later ya got a 20ft Skeeter and more tackle than most tackle stores have.

Just a great sport with so many onnovations, it is alot of fun to play with the new technologies and compete with great products or just to go fishing with comfort and dependability at your finger tips.

    Yeah, it's like Bass fishing

Default Ice Auger & Equipment Carrier

My Auger Buddy makes it easy to push my power ice auger across the ice from spot to spot, wherever I want to drill my holes with minimal heavy lifting or carrying. It also comes with equipment hooks that let me easily transport my other ice fishing equipment, buckets and tackle across the ice. It works on glare ice and through deep snow, and gives me extra stability for walking across the ice.

It holds the power ice auger upright making it easy to add fuel and eliminates spillage or damage to the auger blades from lying the ice auger down horizontally. The best part is it can be used for storing the ice auger upright during the warmer months when I'm not using it.
