    Firearms
Game animals and game birds may be hunted with any legal firearm, EXCEPT:

-pellet guns and other air guns are NOT LEGAL.

Just to let you know what the regulations are for Texas.
Spoken just like a Game Warden..lol...
I don't think he was referring to making hunting trips using an air rifle. I would bet that if he is a hunter in the state of Texas that he would be aware of the rules and regs. It sounds more like a nuisance/rodent controll. I live in town and town ordinance prohibits firearms and we have been using pellet guns to controll the pests. Squirrells will get in your attic and cut wires just like a rat will, and I know I don't want my house burning down because of a tree rat.

Thanks and well said jlaughlin72. That is just what I meant and do. Took nearly $2000. to repair our house several years ago from squirrel damage. Had a friend that loved them until 10 or so years ago when his wifes new Ford
car and his Ford pickup got all the engine wires chewed off. From that point on when he got the repair bill they were dead meat in his yard.

I am wondering how many of you others hunt with air guns (if it is legal in your state of course, it is legal in mine.)
My dad's got an OLD benjamin .22 air gun, I can hit a can @ 70 yards with it, no joke, iron sights. It is one of the most well made air guns I have ever used.

Do yourself a favor and buy a RWS air rifle. I love my side pump, just 1 pump and you've got a 1100fps .177, and fantastically accurate. I'd probably go .22 if I was going to do it again though.
