This past season I was feeding them corn in in a pipe feeder and about 30ft from there I had a pile of "sweet feed" horse feed, and the deer seemed to like it better than the corn. I don't know if it was the mollasses in it, but it had lots of good stuff in it and it kept them coming back, just never at the right time..lol.... My youngest son killed a doe from there and he said she walked right past the corn to get to the sweet feed.(I was told that the mineral blocks was basically sweet feed compressed into a square)
