no turkey this year but thought you all might like this picture. looks to me like we were not far behind this tom when he was struttin. this is the best struttin sight i have ever seen as far as tell tale sign. you can really see his drag marks from the wing tips

It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D

Got to go opening day with my son; Set up and listened to the awakening at daybreak. Owls, cardinals, crows, and then Gobblers. We listened to over 12 Gobblers trying to out-do each other for what seemed like hours (about 1/2 hour). Then I started purring and clucking, clucking and purring and had Gobbleobbleobble all around me. Wile-E busted me 4 times (not lying folks 4 times) but I putted at him and skeered him off my decoys when he got right up to me. Boy I was mad! Then I started aggressive calling and had two come right in to me and my boy dumped one and then I dumped one. We doubled up! Talk about an exciting hunt, we had some heart thumping action all morning long. Did'nt get to go again but man what a memory for my son and me. My son's was a jake which surprised me as it came in first all fightin mad and had a 4 inch beard 16 pounds. Mine weighed in at 24 pounds with an 10 1/4 inch beard and had 1 3/4 inch spurs, was a dandy.
