That's horrible. Glad they were caught and punished.

How many deer were wounded with that .22 and suffered because of it? Glad to hear they were caught!

Wardens must be different in that part of pa because south eastern wardens don't do much if you report illegal activity same in Northern MD .they are a joke around here believe me .I won't get into details but I have seen first hand and its a waste of breath to call them round here .

I had a place in WV for years and witnessed first hand a ex DNR employee and the local game warden and his pa state cop brother do illegal stuff all the time .shoot from road, shoot after hours ,shoot to close to occupied dwelling ,and on posted property. lost all respect for wardens and won't ever call them its a shame because I see illegal stuff all the time .

That was awful.

The leaving it to rot part is what is bad. If they killed them to ear, especially because they were hungry. I wouldn't feel so bad about it

a few deer taken out under the rug per say to feed folks that were in need would go past my eye without a second glance .
but the wanton kill em for fun thing burns my behind .
most of the wardens here in Texas seem to play by the rules , but as with the police there are just not enough of them to cover all the ground in these parts.
we could pretty easily get away with not playing by the rules in many cases here , but it just isn't my speed to play like that .
I will say this about that though , locals will often get a pass and or minor slap on the wrist on rules and regs. slippage in many investigations, but for sure out of town folks will get it like nobody's business in these parts.
don't mess with Texas rules apply if you like to poach down here ...
and YES they use live video and drones now here ....facts

Truthfully, they only got a slap on their wrist, for what they did. Case in point, years ago, I know of a guy, on opening day of deer season, shooting a buck, before the time to start. He lost his license for 5 years, fined, and they took his deer.
