Ended up getting my first (8-point) and second (4 point) Buck all with my dad! Great memories turned it all jerky, snack sticks, and patties. Kept the back straps! Cannot thank my dad enough for being able to take me out hunting with him and teaching me everything he knows

Thanks for sharing. I have fond memories of my first buck harvest and my two grandsons first as well. Now I’m waiting on my great grandson to come of age but that’ll be a while as he is only 10 months old. Congratulations to you both.

Don't be afraid to shoot some does. Michigan really needs to reduce the herd.

Congrats on your two bucks. I'm 67 years old and can tell you in detail of my very first buck. Cherish those memories as well as hunting with your Dad.

My first one was memorable because my old man drove it to me and I thought it was an illegal doe. He would've kicked my butt if I let one go by. Luckily, turns out it had horns!

We are over populated with doe to much, had to many the past 10 years, I’ve been around hunting all my life. Never seen any Buck around me that big until 2023-2024.

Be nice to see a picture of your big buck. This last season was really good, several nice 8point plus bucks taken in our area.
