Default Taking a newbie tomorrow afternoon

There is a 25yo at work that is a real good guy. I wish I had my stuff together when I was his age like he does. He is gonna sit in a good spot of mine and hopefully get a hog. The only rifle he owns is a .22 LR so I'm gonna let him use "ol reliable"... my mid 1980's Remington 700 in 30-06. It's got a twenty-one year old 2.5-10 x 40 Bushnell Elite scope that is clear and gathers light pretty well... I have not used it in 8 or so? years so it needs to get out and eat. I shot it 2 weeks ago with 165 core-lokts and 180 grain Winchester Supreme NBTs. both shot the same hole at 50 yards. Everybody I have invited this year has cancelled or just could not get away.

Hopefully he can get a hog. Sounds like a good kid. Very generous to let him go and use your rifle.

Congrats. Really good thing you’re doing helping and teaching others. I’m sure he was thrilled.
