Default opening day of hog season is close .....

counted about 75 to 100 different ones in the last 2 weeks .....
about 4 or 5 different groups with loners and doubles in the mix frequently as well
,one of the biggie size versions even appears to be a hog H whacked previously and seems to be happy as can be .....
but big deer season goes on another week for them big boys and then we have spike and doe season till late January , so as much as it seems we need to get busy on all them squealers .....opening day ain't quite here yet ....
KABOOM is for sure near though

we donate about near 100% of our hogs to others , they are just fun to play with and totally unregulated ....
I will say them there 25 to 30 lbers or quite edible though , pretty close to store bought quality if you are hungry for pork
and its pretty obvious ours are corn fed too .....

It does look like you need to get them under control.

I debone and grind into hamburger. We like it better than deer burger, even better than any deer I got up in Ohio or Indiana corn and soybean farm country.

darn smart critters , once we roll on them pretty hard , it's like there was never a pig there for a month or so ....
they filter in and out on our place as the hunting pressure changes around us on them
so many night hunt with thermal scopes and trap with phone triggered traps and the list goes on ....
pigs are really hunted hard lots of ways in these parts ....
it is pretty obvious there ain't much control over the wild swine near us ...
they bounce back so quickly it is amazing , one small sow makes about 4 per litter twice a year ...
and they breed when they are really young ....
the one black pig in the image above is a really young mom with her litter of 4 from 3 months or so ago ...
she is not a year old yet and VERY likely carrying another litter inside her now.....
