I am working on it. I have a camera I have been running on my dog and seems like I only have it on with tracks that end up being a deer that is fine (or tracks at night where the camera on the dog shows nothing). I sure wish I would have had it on yesterday. I will keep trying to get something, maybe FB live a track that I feel confident on.

I'm surprised at how many really great deer tracking dogs there are and how hardworking and dedicated their owners are! Great teamwork.

Been iced in pretty much all week but was able to go on one track Monday as everything was freezing.

The deer had been shot Sunday night and they looked Monday morning. They lost blood and called. We showed up and Scout took the track about 250 yds, stopped for a sec and then come back. We headed back to where she stopped and the hunter showed me where last blood was (Scout had went about 20 yds further). I spotted the tail of a deer about 40 yds ahead but he said they had walked that way all the way to the field edge so I thought it was just another deer. Scout hung around like she does when the deer she is tracking is close but I thought she was confused with the other deer. Anyway we walk to where I saw the tail and there is fresh blood. Five yards further and the buck gets up and we are able to finish him off.

The deer had evidently laid in a brushpile and watched them walk by about 10 yards away. Once Scout got to the deer, he didn't like it and he got up and tried to run off. He was shot in front leg and partially into the other so he was having some struggles.

I have a half Walker and half Mt Curr. She's just a pet but has a great nose on her. She hasnt really been challenged much because every deer Ive shot didnt go far or left a great blood trail. I still put her on the trail anyway for practice. She did find a hog that was bow shot and ran into a really thick clear cut and found that one about 100 yards in. Wasnt much blood from that hog.

Your dog is doing a great job. That buck would have died a slow death had Scout not found him.

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

That's all she wants to do. She couldn't care less about retrieving. Just wants to go find some deer.
This is the 5th lab I have had and pretty sure she is the smartest. I got her at 13 weeks old and she had been abused. She has been my buddy ever since. She is now 44 months old and I couldn't imagine losing her...
