I'll never have another one like that. Shooting my best buck ever this year made me realize that I can't expect too many best ever from here on out. Hoping to beat my best ever crappie this year ( every year) though.

Yes it does. My elk mount is in my son's house along with almost all my horns and my bear rug. I see the young guy in those pictures and don't hardly recognize him anymore!

no clue on best ever , sometimes I measure my best as to how much fun it was .....
the harvest is icing on the cake most of time ....
used to whack and stack a bunch of animals , tagging out was a thing ...
4 turkey and 5 deer in a year ....some years it was easy , others not so much ...
but in the end , some doe hunts were legendary to me ....just saying

Lots of tags, lots of species, lots of memories in 1994. Every year has memories though. Shot a 4pt from 2 yards while I was sitting in waist deep water once. Had to cant that long bow over so the limbs were clear from the water. Last thing I remember seeing before I released the arrow was water droplets dripping from its chin.
watched a turkey drink water off grass blades in the early morning one time when I was bow hunting at about 2 feet away myself .
pretty cool to see them stripping the water drops off the long blades of grass .
but my bestest ever bow hunt was when a doe came to water hole in front of me one fall day and actually started to drink , she was in ankle deep water as I drew ,and the knock FELL off the $&@! arrow a half second before full draw .....
NOW mind you this , things went quickly at that point in time ....SHE LITERALLY got big air in REVERSE and spun in the air and was out like a flash ....
BUT it could get better , her fawn I never saw ALMOST impaled itself on my arrow as it bolted right at me at the same speed ....not kidding ....
