the game cameras are on FIRE ....man are the numbers of deer visiting our place currently large ....
a NEW 10 showed up this week and he isn't near the mass of the local 11 , but he sure enough has a nice tall rack on him . Around 20 or more bucks this last week on camera and most of the smaller ones have busted up racks right now .
man are they busy in the little woodlot right now .....good times for SURE !

AND to make it EVEN a better story and to be sure it ain't just a story .....HE actually chased the truck when I drove off !
I called 3 different times to 3 different bucks and one was 150 yards out and other was about 75 and all 3 did the exact same thing .....
RAN right to me fast as they could run ....NOT kidding .....
and I don't even use a "grunt call " I just grunt with my mouth at them ....
it really don't get much better for sure .

the problem with video is this , I can't do it and hold my rifle at the same time .....
did video the big boy in the truck episode , but it was late and the video was not very good ....
the vid is on my fakebook page btw ....
when I quit with the video is when I grunted at him just for fun ....
had no idea he was gunna come at us that FAST ,,,,
he ran off one time and came back too ....she was steadfast in her not moving ....
and he wasn't giving up on her for sure ...
and to be sure they were within a few hundred yards of our place the day before season and I didn't want to wise him up too much either ....

grunting at them is easy , and most of the time you can tell right quick if they like it , no need for a fancy actual call though , anyone can grunt like a deer , because much like calling turkey , not all of them sound the same , the one thing to remember is this , once they hear ya and respond favorably , don't do it again .Good luck! Getting deer to react to natural mouth calls is so cool...and if I may...KABOOM!
they will either pinpoint ya or realize it ain't real .....just saying
