Born and raised in far West Texas 600 miles west of Ft. Worth. Never did such a thing as baiting deer. Open sites on a Winchester model 94 was the way I was taught - fair game. Not fair game with a feeder. Just saying.

and shooting out the window of the truck as ya pass by was pretty common back when as well ....
old timers used to pride themselves on being able to drive with one hand and shoot them 94 models with other as they drove by .....
fair game is relative , lots of folks chase down big crappie with the newest electronics and call it fair game as well my friend ...
times are what they are and feeding is what we do to pay the tax man on my place and put dinner on the table ....
or if you are so inclined out at our place , you can also sit and watch them not visit our place and see them way out yonder on the land that is not ours to visit .....just saying
