    Default The pecking order

If you have raised deer before and or watch them often and study behavioral things they often do and observe who is who in the herd , you might have seen this before .
Deer (both sexes ) have a "pecking" order and I mean they actually peck hard and nip at the same time right on the buttocks area of the lesser deer !
mind you this , just cause one looks sort of mangy from the mid section back does not mean it has an illness , it often times means it is the peckeee and not the pecker .....
    just saying ....
the buck in the front in this image is about to get "pecked" ....

About time for the velvet to come off and bachelor groups to break up in these parts. Archery season is a mere 6 weeks away.
