Thanks, we were putting that together is his barn and when we got the platform together, I looked over and saw a brand new blind we had bought. I put it up and threw it over the platform and he said, let’s do it! A few pcs of scrap 2x4 and some u-bolts later!

Strap it down well. Seen high winds really beat those up. Good luck. Sure looks secure and safe.

In GA we feed the deer a quart jar of corn every night scattered well so they have to hunt for it while we watch. They show up daily even when the acorns are falling. There's also a mature Persimmon tree beside the house that produces fruit. The deer clean it up every night too. If you wanna treat the deer and get a laugh, put out a bag of mini marshmallows. They suck em up like little vacuum cleaners!

I had a friend in Pulaski County, Virginia who passed a number of years ago. He ran food plots and protien feeders year 'round on his property (~1,000 acres). He also managed the herd for quality bucks and does. He would allow wounded Vets come out to take scrub bucks and thin the doe numbers to help him balance the herd and maintain a 1:1 or 2:1 buck/doe ratio. He wouldn't take a chosen buck until it was 6 years old at full maturity. His trophy room was ridiculous with buck heads that looked more like bucks out of Saskatchewan, Canada than Virginia. He was a Vietnam Vet who did 3 tours as a forward observer & saw lots of bad stuff. He never expected to come home and had his family invest his pay in the land he wanted. He ran a couple of huge distribuitorships that made him tons of money, yet you'd never know it. He was one of the nicest and best peopke I ever knew.

There is a reason you have to reach that high for it my friend.....just saying
It will grow low in trees too , but it is my opinion after only seeing on low branches where deer can’t get to it , that’s yet another sign .
We a use an extending tree trimmer to get ours btw , cheaper than shotgun shells these days
