Default Might take 2 this year

We did not harvest ANY deer off our place last year , the dominos didn't fall right and or we waited too long to decide what buck was the right one .
this year we may harvest 2 if the numbers seem to be able to handle it and so far it looks pretty good.
one 8 looks to be a dandy if he keeps growing horn and one 10 looks pretty good too , we shall see how they finish out soon . we have about 6 to 8 weeks of antler growing time left and if the rains keep the browse going good , there might be a few pretty ones to play with ....

neighbor's provide water for the cattle and deer , we provide cover and food and keep the harvesting of predators at full speed ahead , one thing for certain though , our lack of chasing the deer has them right calm about us hanging around and to be sure they REALLY don't like my one next door neighbor , the deer run away fast as heck when they come by to check the cows ,,,,hmmm
    right .....
they never flinch a bit at other vehicles till that orange 4 wheeler comes down the county road , then they all jerk their heads up and run off like they are on fire .....interesting for sure ....

we feed a mix in our demand feeder of 50 50 16% protein and corn and its inside a hog proof pen .....
we feed straight corn thru most of the other feeders and we use trace mineral blocks from several sources too ....
we have pink one I think was made for goats and sheep and the wildlife seem to like it better than the saltier mineral blocks
not sure where i got it , tractor supply maybe ?
