Gotta be doing something right. I'm guessing the feeders are a big reason as well as the food plots.
We are required to do so to keep up with our yearly state tax exception, we try to keep doe to buck ratio information and general stuff like that , including fawn numbers each year and etc
we counted 18 deer in the field the morning we stayed and 16 the night before that . Our current visible population trend is about 1 to 1 ,doe buck ratio , but one also has to keep in mind this about that ....
Not a single doe with a fawn has been seen out in the open field as of yet , so this implies to me the number is not accurate on the actual local population ratio .
I can say this pretty confidently though , the herd has grown well under our management style and we are in the about 4 times what we had hanging around when we got the place ....![]()

That’s awesome. We had 9 in our field last night. We are 2:1 does to bucks but in the fall it will go to 500:1 does to bucks!![]()

we supply lots of different mineral blocks and other tasty things , we have one protein feeder and 4 corn feeders and plant lots of deer friendly food stuffs too ....one of the likely reasons though in the increase is lack of heavy harvests as are often the case in that part of the world and very selective on what deer gets to go down as well ....
