Does the hard work and money spent pay off ?
FOR sure yes , we hit the country place for an overnight and sat in the blinds a bit , wife said NO rifle,due my shoulder thing and so just had to watch the critters mostly .....said mostly ...
did chase a coon thru the trees in the moon light and use my pocket gun on it a bit .....
we sure enjoyed the visit , we picked wild plums and wild blackberries and trimmed some brush a bit and tuned up cameras and took pictures and just enjoyed the beautiful weather totally .
counted 18 different deer from the trailer drinking coffee in the am and played with the place in general , the neighbor planted about 40 acres of red top right beside us AND 2 strips for us on our place as well.....man is the September dove hunt going to be the BOMB !
here are few images from my camera and from our trail cams .....YES its a zoo out there but of course that is the intention for sure ....

Sudan / milo /sorghum / red top / some of the other versions of it , most of it in these parts is hybridized
I think he said it was Sudan and some form of it that is hybridized to mature late ....
rolls up nicely in bales to make some really good cattle winter feed ...
taller than sorghum ,but heads out much the same , wildlife love it ....
deer eat the heads and the baby plants and turkey and doves love it when it heads out as well

We liked seeing the Texas Spiny lizards when we lived in San Antonio. We have their cousins here - Eastern Fence Lizards. They’re a bit more skittish, and don’t let us get as close for pics.
