    Default Homemade KABOOM !

Some 20 plus year ago when they came out with all them fancy special camo turkey scatterguns on the shelves , me couldn't swing the dollars to buy one ....
so me made me one , bought me a Remmington 12 guage no finish 3 inch mag shotgun new for cheap and took to the job at hand ....
put a jim dandy paint job on her and a sling and an extra extra full turkey choke in that long barrel .
not sure how well some of the other scaterguns might get the jod done , but she will flat rock the world on a turkey at them WAY out there ranges ,,,,of course there is a price to pay, she HURTS when you pull dat trigger ,,,,for sure ....

Looks like a shoulder pusher for sure and a fine camo job. Hunted with a 10gauge one year shooting custom hot turkey loads. Scary for sure. How far have you patterned that beast and what size shot?

I've shot a fair amount of 3'' bird loads over the years, they pack a punch but....One day my brother was sighting in his new slug gun off a bench with some 3'' slugs and he was complaining how bad it kicked,I thought he was just being a wussy...only took about 5 rounds and everything was blurry from the tears in my eyes.lol Very nice camo job on the boomer.

Number 4 3 inch mag nitro express…past 50 for sure , not exactly sure how far , nothing escapes that kaboom, had a bird problem one time at a place I managed and dropped a large bird on the wing on private property at well over 75 ….
Folks in the vehicle when I jumped out and dropped it one shot ,we’re in the no way a shotgun kills that far out mode …

My brother and I once flushed a tom that flew back over us. Sounded like anti aircraft fire! Results were not as impressive as yours though!

have taken a few from the air over the years , one was hide and seek big boy playing cat and mouse with me in some cedar breaks , soon as he made me at around 40 yards he took to the wing before I could get off the shot on the ground ....
he got up pretty good and got a load from behind as he "tried" to leave ....man do they sound like a sack of flour hit the ground when they land ....
the reason I set this gun up was a big tom that took 3 high brass number 4 , 2 3/4 inch loads at short range from a 20 gauge and left minus lots of feathers never to be seen again ! and he took the first one right in the head at 20 yards .....
and got up and I knocked him down again and he got up about 6 foot high and I powdered his entire body a third time into a cloud of feathers and he came out of the cloud like 747 on take off and roared up over the trees never to be seen again !
