Are a sign of spring, barred owls must be a sign of turkey season More barred owl calls heard even with a lake full of geese and some loons right behind the house. Call makers are making a killing!

Owls hooting is natures Turkey locator. I often use my owl hooter on the porch at night to find em.

I haven't heard the ones behind the house in a while.

We sometimes hear the owl in our trees around the house. Think I heard it this last week actually.

I always apply for the first hunt here in Michigan and rarely see or hear other hunters. This year I could see and hear 3 other hunters, plus numerous fellas blowing on their owl calls the last two days.
