Thread: An in the face reminder of ....

Just how totally stupid a big gobbler is during the spring fling , heard him gobble from the other side of the lake on the back side of the mountain . A few hen barks and he immediately responded with a big deep far away gobble .
Left him be and heard another gobble closer to us near the peak of the moutain about 15 minutes later , told H hear he comes . Went on about business pond hopping and came around the back side of the big lake and as we got closer to the beehives THERE was mister loving to strut puppy all blown up and looking for love or a fight ! Truly expected him to fold up and run off , but he looked us over and STOOD his ground , let us drive slowly right up to him!
Now mind you this , Took lots of pictures but few were of any decent quality , he lets us DRIVE right up to about 10 yards and EVEN gobbled at me when I hen barked while he was in bb gun range .....ding dong .....
might go whack one is my american native name , H never been spring turkey chasing before and my friends place is ripe for it ....
might secure permission to play with them is me
