Size: 64.6 KB I put some feathers in a picture frame to remember the moment. It’s not a mount, but looks cool on the mantle

That is a wonderful way to remember a good hunt. Parkin mallards feet down is hard to beat. Congrats. If you shoot anymore ducks try blending italian dressing and browns sugar together into a slurry. cube the breast meat and marinate overnight. Put on skewer with red onions and peppers and grill. Served with a bed of white rice and a cold drink. It's a favorite in Iowa. Blessings

The mallard drake flank feathers also make fantastic crappie jigs.

We used to eat a few gadwalls back when right after the hunt , filet the breast off the bone , paint em with your favorite bbq sauce and treat em to a really hot fire till the sauce turns to a just almost burned caramel...
Slightly rare when done like this and on a hungry empty hunter stomach it sits right well and Tastes right nice too

I do poppers, jerky, etc. I also take all the drake curls and put them in a rum bottle which I will make a lamp with one day.

Bagged my first woodies the other day! Man, what a beautiful and tasty bird. Glory to God for delivering them into my hand!
