Default No cooperation is the word

Got rained out yesterday afternoon only saw 2 does , saw 4 bucks and 9 does in the morning , but not one I wanted to whack .
the best buck in our area is a 9 and he is pretty old for those parts , sure looks smaller on camera than in real life , ground shrinkage will make him look like a baby is my bet .....
not sure if I really want to harvest a deer this year is me right now , the 8 I saw in the morning was so so , but still not really what I want in a buck deer .....
the one down spike looks like the most likley of candidates right now to end up in the freezer , but we shall see how it goes I suppose ....
p.s. might have almost seen bobby the resident bob , squirrels went off the charts bonkers and heard something under me in the leaves but never saw it , kitty maybe , not a clue ...
not many pigs right now and only at dark thirty ...
such is the country place report ...
NO KABOOM is my new thing it seems ..........

Kudos for holding out. Around here the bucks don’t stand much of a chance to grow big. I let them walk but the surrounding properties not so much.

we have a fair amount of pressure in our area , but a few of the bucks we let go on by, show up the next year , 1 ten point I watched on camera that lived his life on our place for several years was never seen in person ,only on camera , would have likely taken him the last year I saw him if given the chance ,but never did get to see him in person , he has since gone away and I am not sure he didn't go to deer heaven by himself
have been watching another buck on camera for 3 years as well , that was a stupid nice main frame 10 with muley kickers on both g 2 points ,making him a 12 , spotted him running does on camera last week , but much like the other buck we never see him in person, he looks to be headed downhill now and appears to be a really tall 8 now , but to be sure it is the same buck , he has a very distinctive high hat rack , towers way up there ....
such are the whitetail woods ....

that or in an act of deperation I just KABOOM because I can right ....
my bud let a decent 8 go by the other day and texted me he is coming your way , not sure what 8 it was , he got the cross hairs put on him as he slipped thru the woods , thunk for a second he was THE 8 I might take if I see him and then knew right off he wasn't , weak on his g 3 points and nice and likely a dead deer elsewhere , but not what I really want ....
