    Ah yes, I remember my early bird hunts too. In first pic in 2015 the kid was 15,I shot two of the three...the youngster was blazing and missing a lot,lol. The roll's seemed to have reversed now me "the old man" was stroking the pump gun pretty hard to get one of the four..lol.

    I often wondered why I missed often as well , but in many cases I think the birds just don’t die easily and are hit and keep going , the dang things can run like greyhound….

    Lol,Hunting with out Anna would be a sorry ordeal,we hunt in some nasty stuff cattails head high,willows,reed cannery grass over your head in places, two of the four wouldn't have been flushed or found with out her,one was 60-70 yards away from were it went down in chest high cattails.
    They are tougher then most peaple think,we kinda don't fit the pheasant hunting standard criteria with our Full Choke pump's and semi auto's loaded to the max with 2 shot magnums....but we've only lost one bird this fall out of 22 shot

    Yep ,regular high brass 6 don’t get it done well for sure ....
