    I make Swiss squirrel. Basically a Swiss steak recipe. Turns out very tender and tasty. Saw the smallest black squirrel I've ever seen today. About the size of a red squirrel. Didn't have any desire to shoot that little tyke!

    Got some black squirrels here , they are some kinda ground/rock squirrel , a place I hunted with a rock quarry years ago was full of them. thought they were a bit big and in too many numbers to be melanistic and found out later that part of the world had them.
    one thing for sure the real deal has always escaped me and am not sure if I have actually ever seen a real deal , cool beans bro

    Thanks ketch. These are tree squirrels. Greys and blacks have overtaken the fox squirrels here. I mouth called this squirrel in. She was acting like a Karen and got a present for it!

    we hunt squirrels pretty hard here, they respond well to calls sometimes , but they get call shy quickly as well .
    they tend to be pretty darn smart when pursued often in these parts for sure . they know when I am around and when I am not and come out to play shortly after I leave and leave when I return , they got a good clue who is putting the bead on them in my part of the world fur sure
