About 10 weeks until opening day but lots of fresh sign and a traditional corridor. Runways at around 23 and 30 yards. This will be one of dozens I will make new or freshen up before season.

Nice looking blind there, I like to make mine similar to that, just take mine all the way around tree, then make a way in, seems like when I don’t a deer sneaks around the back side of me, and I am nailed there with zero cover. Looks great man. Some people don’t realize how well a fully camouflaged blind is. Good luck.

I have a couple blinds that are built alk the way around. Each situation is different. This one has a great background and shadow and was found 95% in this natural condition. Thanks for the comments.

I had a blind like that back when , looked very similar , you would call me a liar if you knew how close some game came to me sitting in it , I used it as a rifle blind and had a bob cat stroll up and literally STAND under my rifle barrel and one monster buck that was so close he was just a blur in my scope when it was cranked down to 4x ,the buck and cat both walked , the buck had a really jacked up left antler and the cat , well lets just say I thought about petting it .....
there was also a skunk one time in the wee morning light that walked right into the blind beside me and of course the one snake that crawled right across my foot , but those are some different stories about sitting in that pile of sticks ....
    good times for sure ...
    nice blind sir

Knew some fellas that used to crawl up in the windrows in the clear cuts to hunt. They did well. Always scared me with lots of folks in the woods shooting at anything that moves

some of the old timers here would put a few feet of hog wire in a small circle to hold the brush they cut , seen several in my wanderings ,works well , some of those little ground blinds were 20 or more years old and still looked pretty good .

Those wire blinds are serviceable for quite awhile. Only natural materials are legal unless you put your name on it, dismantle at end of year, and a few other restrictions. These type of blinds rarely get a second look from "modern day" hunters though. There is an old illegal wooden ladderstand nearby, and evidence of baiting years ago.
