Saw a small doe with a fawn yesterday. The fawn was shorter than the ferns! Could barely see its tail as they ran off the road into the woods. We have a pair of yearlings near our house that are also very small.

Have yet to see any here in SE Ohio. Lots of single does around though.

It seems our fawns came in later than usual this year. We do have great overall numbers though as evidenced by the number of roadkill and field observations.
