Pot calls can be fickle creatures, but they can be fantastic calls also. I have one that’s my go-to call. When you find that sweet spot it’s deadly.

Great pictures, great birds. Thanks for sharing. Those birds are so much fun, eh?

If/when turkey hunting gets in your blood, it can be a blessing and a curse. I’ve been fishing twice since turkey season started down here. Looking for an out of state hunt as we speak.

I have Osceolas running round everywhere down here. Been large numbers the past few years. I don’t hunt them, and prefer grocery store birds. I might get a call just to mess with them.
Maybe they will bite this one……BroKenneth, MCG1 LIKED above post
[QUOTE=BroKenneth;4249075]I’ve always heard it was just as much if not more fun to call one up for someone else. I discovered the truth of that last Saturday. Called this one up for my son. It was his first turkey. It was a great hunt. He missed the season the last 2 years because of deployment.

I think that might very well be true , I guided a while on turkey hunts and it was just about the best fun ever . The inexperienced folks and the things they might do when a big thunder bird is in eye sight makes one smile for sure
