Sounds like an awesome year. That is a lot of good earing packed away in those freezers
Today my brother shot his best buck of the year with a muzzle loader. Our family has filled the freezers. My brother shot 2 8pts and a doe. His grandson shot an 8pt and another grandson a doe. His son an 8 pt. Our younger brother shot a nice 7pt (that I missed during bow season). I shot a 7 PT and a doe. My son in law shot a really good 8pt in Missouri.
Most of us hunt within an Antler Point Restriction area, where the smallest buck you can take must have at least 3pts on a side, except for youth hunters.
The neatest part of this season is the amount of buck activity and how much rut activity is going on right now! Today with temps in the 20s and wind gusts of 20-30 mph my brother saw 4 bucks and 3 of them were legal. They were all very interested in his Tink's Doe in Heat scent.
Our best year ever, in an area our family has hunted for 53 years.
