land and home prices are crazy right now and as Have a decent place to hunt on public land which isn't too crowded will just stay in my lil cabin near lake. at least we got our cabin for only 6K decade ago and fixed it up. nice and comfortable now good place to entertain my son and his hunting crew and that's what's really important.

personally I'm more of a crappie dude now days and will spend more time fishing than after deer for next week.

there are some bargains still to be had , we looked at stuff near Greer's Ferry and the places that needed to be fixed up were pretty reasonable , surprised me for how lovely it was in that area of the world

That certainly drives prices to astronomical levels. Lots of land that was once wild gets swallowed up and developed giving wildlife less places to live.

them folks buy those spots and right off the bat go to clearing brush and such , quite the opposite of my place , you best not cut nothing and or clear nothing on our property is the rules we follow

I would encourage them to clear all the brush and dump it in spots at the lake. That would be a win win situation. Makes your place more wildlife friendly and more places to fish
