Truly a lovable animal until someone get their eye poked! Then it's hell to pay!
Bad to the bone!

they can take off a finger in heartbeat and stick to you like super glue if the case calls for it .
had more than one rush me and growl like a small bear , never under estimate them for sure .
had a male baby coon one time for a pet and he was simply quite unfriendly ,he was really small at about softball size and really cute .....
AND ....
he could bite right thru welding gloves and had a sumo wrestler stance right before he jumped on board to inflict other damage

Had a small one about softball size.
Talk about attitude! He wasn’t afraid of the human.

nest robbing vermin with little predation except the roads anymore with fur prices being so low. have adapted too well to city living and are thriving unfortunately. but running off a big boar wild hog? that's crazy.

They can adapt to most any environment. Seen them crawl out of a storm drain in a large city and go raid a dumpster. When I limb line fished I had one line set at a log sticking out of the bank into the water about 10 feet. When I left the lines baited over night I would come back and that line was always laying on the log with the hook clean. On a moonlit night I sat in the kayak across the slough and waited to see what was happening to my line. I had a catfish on the line an hour after dark. Shortly a Momma coon walked down the log, reached and grabbed the line. Pulled the fish onto the log and chewed it off the hook. Smart critters they are
They are very smart critters for sure. I trapped one once in a wired shut trap. He unwound that wire like a electrician to gain his freedom.
