Best thing you can do is have an active predator control program. Kill off anything that eats turkeys - especially young and eggs. Coyotes, bobcats, armadillos, skunks, feral cats, etc.

we used to have a few cats , aint seen them in a long time , coyotes range large and are difficult to control
coons and hogs are a big problem at our place , it is likely them doing the major damage
