Good looking dog!
It sure would be nice to have a dog on call for projects like that.
Especially after dark, would save a lot of time.

I have to brag on my pup for a minute... I have been wanting a dog to train to track wounded deer. Several months back my daughters friend had a pup that they had just gotten back from on abusive owner (chocolate lab). She was 12 weeks old at the time and was as timid as could be when we first saw her. We were just going to take her for a night to see how it went but at first site I knew how that was going to turn out... We have been training on tracks the best we could and I felt she was doing well. She is now 5.5 months old. She was a free dog, was abused, is scared of the dark, spoiled rotten lap dog and I really was not expecting much. Saturday she was able to go on her first real animal track (actually 2 since my brother and I doubled up). I will say she did AWESOME!!! They were not the hardest tracks and one went about 100 yds and the other about 140 yds but she made finding them much quicker. She seems to be hooked and once she was in tracking mode she forgot she was scared of the dark. Hopefully she will have a chance to find many more in the near future as that was as fun to me as the hunting part.

Nice looking pup! Looks like she has found a good home. I have always loved watching dogs work, deer hunting dogs, bird hunting dogs, or tracking dogs. A good trained dog is a sight to see for sure.

if you give her deer hooves as chew toys she will be a champion tracker in no time at all .
used to train my dog with them , that harlequin great dane was well known in my part of the world for finding a lost deer .
she even tracked a bow shot Aoudad one time , she was about amazing at finding a lost deer I tell ya .
of course her intention was to drag it off and eat it , it wasnt about giving it up I promise .
I told one fella keep an eye on my dog , if she finds your deer she might/probably try to drag it off !
next thing you know there she goes thru the woods dragging off his 8 point .....

Awesome! Yeah, she's goin' to be ready to go anytime you need her from now on. That's a great lookin' dog for sure. We are about to adopt a new dog after waiting three years since our Molly passed away.
I think my wife and I are both ready for a new family member... we are going tomorrow to hopefully rescue one that needs a good home. We are both lookin' very much forward to it.
