I use a 3 x 9 Nikon on mine. I like to turn it up so I can hit that ear!
Will be used for hunting squirrel . What are you using ? fixed /variable ?
I have a Simmons 3-9x32mm 22 mag. On my CZ 512 not a bad scope,works go me.
Been looking at those . Seems like once I passed 60 yrs. old , high end scopes that see the vault more than the woods no longer have the zeal they once had . Got a 2-7 x 28 Weaver on my other 10-22 but my son has about taken over it . Quality glass makes that scope an awesome choice but it was north of 150.00 .
I have been using these on 22's and 22mags for years with great results. Track great and hold zero. Parallax adjustable 10yards to infinity.
Tasco World Class Varmint Rifle Scope 4-16x 40mm - MPN: DWC416X40
tasco seems like overkill on a .22 tho for varmit rifle appropriate. have leupold 3-9 on my ruger but only because it was on there when bought it from bro in law and it's terrific but probably worth as much as gun. I like the 2-7 area for squirrel hunting, that should be the ticket.
I slaughtered the squirrels last week in MO but only 2 out of 20 were still enough for a .22. Glad I have my .410/.22 o/u. that lil .410 stops them moving cold. tho I will break out that ruger in december when woods are move open and squirrels don't run so darn much.
I use a Bushnell 2-6 on mine, works great!
This is what I put on a 10/22 I built for squirrel last year. I can zoom in on their ears. I head shot only.

I have a Bushnell Trophy that I really, really like. Especially for the price. I don't think there is anything out there that beats them in that price range.
For short range I think 2-7x is also appropriate.
