I have been looking for someone who has a trail cam pic so I can have a frame pic of him on the hoof, that would be so cool but no one has ever seen him before.

I still can't believe it, it was truly a God send for sure.

I just got a big kick in the teeth yesterday when I got a official measurement form in the mail yesterday.
On the internet it said to take the inside spread, outside spread and tip to tip main beam measurements. So when I got the official form it stated it needs all of them but only the inside spread counts in the total. So now I go from a 190" plus to one that doesn't qualify for the record books.
Don't get me wrong, its is a great deer and probably the biggest I will ever have a chance on taking. Just goes to show me not to believe what I read on the web.

I could tell from the picture that it wouldn't make 190 but I didn't want to rain on your parade. That is a great deer but it takes an awesome 8 point to reach 170. It has to have some extremely tall points because it only has 8. Your deer has some very long points and is a deer to be very proud of. I know I would be. I am a trophy hunter and I would have shot that deer without taking a second look.
Don't feel bad there are very few people that know how to correctly score a deer.
    Congrats on a fine deer.

Thanks for the kind words and I am still very excited about my deer I just thought it would make it into the record books but I think it will just come up shy of the Boone & Crockett and the Longhunter clubs. I believe it will still make the Buckmasters record book. I will post the official score after the mandatory 60 day drying time.

Put you a board tight between the main beams and it won't lose as much inside spread.
