Thread: 3 States Down, Several More To Go

My daughter decided last year that she wanted to see how many different states she could shoot a deer in before she turned 18. Sounded like a good idea so I started talking with some places and got a couple hunts lined up this year. I wanted to try and get 3 states out of the way this year but it is not looking good. We were offered a place in MS but it did not not turn out well. We saw a 3 pt and button head and that was it. Was also offered a hunt in GA but evidently that fell through. Anyway, we were able to make it to KY this past weekend for the 2 day youth hunt. Sunday morning we had seen several deer and one decent 8pt that I did not feel met the requirements of the property so she ended up taking this big doe. Brought in the New Years right! Check KY off the list as well as TN and AL. Hoping to find another place in MS to try and get her MS deer this season but we will see.
