Thread: Dove season starts Saturday!!!

Yep!! We are shooting Monday!!

Yep, I'm pretty stoked for it. Should be a nice day tomorrow, high 80's and a nice north breeze blowing.

Started yesterday, Sept 1st, here in KY. Five of us went to a "new to us" lease field, after having scouted it last Tues. Day one hours were 11AM to sunset. We left the field early with around 60 birds. Game Warden checked some of the birds and determined that most all of them were juvenile birds.

KY Afield photographer was with the GW and took pics of members of our party getting our licences checked, and one members pile of birds. Pics "may" appear in an upcoming issue of the magazine. Three of the five of us are Crappie.com members. There was a sixth member in our party, but he didn't hunt.

I see a squab in the flock. Congrats.

Nice limit of birds! Is pigeon any good?
