Checked my camera this morning. 8000+ pics.
80 or so of does and little bucks. The rest of a blade of Johnson grass waving in the wind.
Headed over tomorrow to rework the food plot and get that grass cut down.

In that first pic, she's giving you that over the shoulder "come hither" look! And in the second pic, she's giving you the "big eye." Ole girl ain't playing hard to get is she? GTT

Nice images guys. I haven't gotten that bug yet, which is very unusual for me. We lost 237 acres of our hunting lease due to a land sale. Most of my best stand locations were included in the land sale. On a positive side of it, we were able to eliminate a problem member as a result. He had the lowest seniority so he had to go, at least this way we were able to keep the peace.

I'm getting nothing but does and little yearling bucks so far. Time will tell if any bigger bucks move in. Can't eat antlers, but I do like having them on my wall.

I'm always amazed at the body size difference of animals in different parts of the U.S. Body size in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois is totally different than areas in the south (for obvious reasons). Some deer in the south actually look like the antlers are too big for their head. Then you travel up to BC and Saskatchawan and see the deer up there. A 130 class buck looks like he is sporting a tiny rack!

I've heard a few guys going to buddies places to help control a doe population issue. The first night he went out, saw tons of deer and shot nothing. When he came back in they were surpised. He said, "all I saw was a bunch of yearlings". Took him a little while to figure out the whole body size dynamic between that area and the one he was used to.

On the money Wicklundrh. Back in my college days I deer hunted in Michigan some. We had use a front end loader to get a deer to the house! Now I can drag even a big one, to the house easily in Oklahoma.

The first black bear sighting in nearly a century in this Kentucky county and it decides to set up shop on our place and destroys my tripod feeder. Frustrating, but still a very neat way to start the season. Haven't captured many deer on camera since he's moved in.
