Thread: 22 Magnum shells,

They're hard to come by right now. Any particular load you prefer?

I dont get why they aint caught up yet. Felt like I hit the lottery a few weeks back when I got 2 packs of CCI Mini Mags.

Check with different local gun shops.They keep stock hidden sometimes for their best customers.If you talk right you might get some. The whole thing is stupid, I never in my wildest dreams ever thought I would see my nation so caught up in a frenzy that made no sense past a point. I found some in a small gun section in a hardware store the other day. My boy was in the smokies on vacation while back and he said a big gun store there had anything you wanted and you could buy all you wanted.

I have a .223 that I do reduced loads in. Google .223 gopher loads and look at the jamescalhoun stuff..You can find components now real easy and they work good and super accurate.Course you have to reload but its something to do on a winter night and its kinda fun. You can get some from ammoseek .com but gonna cost you .30 to .50 cents a round. I can do gopher loads with a cheap bullet for less than that. I like my .22 mag too,but its an option.

I also am using my shotguns more.Stupid shotgun shells are everywhere and the base stuff is cheap.

Plenty on some stores shelves,others claim they cannot be found.A Walmart employee opened up to me recently, and said they could get any shell the public wanted,but Walmart is intentionally not ordering,he said it looks like wallmart is purposely getting out of the gun and ammunition business.
I live in a strong hunting area,I would think hunting supplies is a pretty large part of wallmart,but the shelves are getting bare.
