Really interested in your rifle/optics set up for shooting over a half mile in comfort. Thats some stellar shooting you were prepared for.

Im running a 300 win mag, 210gr Berger bullet. This gun has a NightForce scope. It is obviously a bench gun and weights in at 17lbs. The weight and muzzle break makes such a pleasure to shoot. Here is the a picture of the target at 1000 yards and 5 shots the day before I left. Its nothing to write home about, but it does say the rifle was shooting good. This other is a picture of a buck I watch most of the morning working some plumb thickets. He is about 800 yds in the picture. I did end up getting a doe at 1048 yds yesterday. I have that on video, and I also have 6 min of video of this buck i shot.
