In FL they are considered a nuisance and can be killed year round with a valid hunting/trapping license. I am a nuisance wildlife trapper here & there are people who will come trap them for free because they will pen the hog up & then sell the meat. Makes it kinda hard to make any money as a registered licensed trapper but they are destructive animals & are better off away from people deep in the swamp.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

It is open year round in Arkansas, 24/7 on private land and some restrictions on public. Those 2 little pigs with the stripes are young pigs. They would be some fine eating. Need to get you some buckshot and bait with corn. Trapping may be the most effective, but myself and a buddy have virtually cleared out 1300 acres with shotguns and buckshot. It is not pretty, but it is effective.

Hogs are terrible. They sure destroy some fine habitat and it does not recover quickly.

Got the trap set and baited with sour corn and strawberry jello powder. They are eating the corn around the trap, but the sow is smart enough to stay out of the trap
so far. Just a matter of time. No season on private property, reproduce every 13 weeks, Slop 'em heavy for a week and slaughter 'em.

Had two game wardens stop by and they had seen the sow and piglets in the hay field in the middle of the day. They are the ones that told me reproduction was every
13 weeks. Don't really matter much as long as they can be eliminated as often as necessary.

Yes Sir, I am finding myself surrounded by hogs, but I'm geared for fighting back. Love the Hot Springs area, especially Lake DeGray (Shouse Ford). Eagle Mountain Lake
is in a world of hurt right now. Really low. Rain in the forecast, come on down!

Decided to go bigger with the trap. The other one was on the small side. This one is 16' long. Getting them used to walkin' in and out for a few days before putting
the door on to capture them. Creek runs behind it and plenty of cover to keep it hidden from public view. Found a large area torn up today where I did not need the
ground tore up. More corn fermenting and they gonna be drunk when they get caught. Smoked hams sound good.
